SOOWERY recalls fabric dressers over tip-over risk
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says about 138 of the 8-drawer dressers can tip onto children if not anchored to a wall.
SOOWERY is recalling about 138 of its 8-drawer fabric dressers because they can tip over onto children if not anchored to a wall. The commission says the dressers don't meet the federal STURDY Act's stability standard. No injuries have been reported. CPSC
What to do
Anyone with the dresser not anchored to a wall should stop using it right away. It should go somewhere children can't reach. SOOWERY is offering a full refund for the recalled units. CPSC
To get one, consumers must write "RECALLED" in permanent marker on the dresser's top, front and sides. They also need to remove the drawers and email photos of the marked, disassembled dresser to SOOWERYrecall@outlook.com, then dispose of it. CPSC
The dressers sold on Amazon.com from December 2025 through August 2026 for about $106. This is a national recall, and the commission does not break the count down by state. CPSC
