RootStim is recalling about 11,000 bottles of its minoxidil hair regrowth treatments because the packaging isn't child-resistant, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced October 29, 2026. The products, sold only on Amazon.com from August 2025 through February 2026 for between $20 and $40, contain minoxidil, which federal law requires to be packaged so children can't easily open it. What to do

Anyone with one of the recalled bottles should keep it out of sight and reach of children right away. RootStim is asking owners to write "RECALLED" on the bottle, discard it, and send a photo of the discarded bottle to the company before getting a replacement. The company can be reached at 202-743-1714 on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, by email, or through its website. No injuries have been reported. CPSC

The recall covers three RootStim product lines: the 5% Minoxidil Foam Hair Regrowth Treatment with Rosemary and Biotin, and two versions of the Minoxidil Hair Regrowth Treatment with Rosemary. The products were manufactured in China. This is a national recall; the commission does not say how many of the bottles went to buyers in Ohio. CPSC
