Clark County has a new electric aggregation agreement with Dynegy that fixes the rate eligible residents and small businesses pay at 11.26 cents per kilowatt-hour through June 2029. The county says the deal offers price stability, and there are no fees for canceling. Clark County

What the new rate means

Residents and small businesses who are part of the county's aggregation program will pay a locked-in rate instead of a price that moves with the market. The agreement runs through June 2029, giving customers several years of the same rate. Clark County

Because there is no cancellation fee, customers who want to leave the program or choose a different electric supplier can do so without a penalty. The county's announcement does not say how customers sign up or opt out, or which areas of the county are included. Clark County
