Golden Resale recalls camping showers over fire risk
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says about 400 portable camping showers sold online can catch fire when their heaters run dry.
Golden Resale is recalling about 400 Portable Camping Showers because their immersion heaters can catch fire if they're used while partly or fully out of water CPSC. The showers, which came with a bucket and heater, sold on Amazon.com and Walmart.com from February through August 2026 for about $60 CPSC. No injuries have been reported CPSC.
What to do
Stop using the shower right away and contact Golden Resale toll-free at 855-927-2440 to start a refund CPSC. The refund runs through Amazon or Walmart's return system, and the company will mail a free prepaid package to send the shower back CPSC. Once the return is processed, customers get their money back the same way they paid CPSC.
This is a national recall from a federal agency, not one specific to New Carlisle or Ohio, and the commission has not published a state-by-state breakdown of where the showers were bought CPSC.
