GBYMIUY recalls magnetic toy figures over ingestion risk

The federal recall covers about 10,750 toy sets sold on Amazon that can release small, powerful magnets.

GBYMIUY is recalling its magnetic stick figure toy sets because loose magnets inside can come free and be swallowed by children, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced. About 10,750 of the sets were sold on Amazon.com from April through July 2026 for about $20 CPSC.

What the hazard is

The toy sets don't meet the federal safety standard for toys because they can release loose, high-powered magnets, the commission said. If swallowed, the magnets can attract each other or other metal inside the body and cause blockages, perforations or blood poisoning, and can be deadly CPSC. No injuries have been reported so far CPSC.

What to do

Parents should take the stick figures away from children right away and stop using them, the commission said. Consumers can contact GBYMIUY for a full refund; the company is asking owners to throw the toys away and send a photo showing them disposed of CPSC. This is a nationwide recall, and the commission does not say how many of the toys reached Ohio or Clark County CPSC.
